Microsoft Office 2010 new features include "cancel on load". This is a little "Cancel" button on the right-hand bottom corner of the application splash screen which can be used to cancel the loading of the application:

It's useful sometimes. It would be handy as well if we could cancel loading Help. I just hate when I want to press F2 and accidentally press F1.

Luiz I guess lots of us run into that problem... I am so sure that will be considered though.

Still in this splash, there are two buttons similar at Minimize and Close

This is quite a game-changing feature and they don't even know it! There have been many a time when I'd accidentally clicked a program, or opened the wrong one, and wanted to cancel the looong startup (even on my fast PC). I can only imagine the pain other people have felt. Now that there's a "Cancel" button, maybe other programs (I'm looking at you, Photoshop!) will employ this "cancel on load" feature as well! THANK YOU Microsoft (and the Office team), for adding such a useful feature!
